Recess(ion)
As an editor, even as a sub-par, accidental one, I occasionally do hold a certain curiosity about word-o-logy and whatnot. This word has been thrown around. Example:
“Did you hear we are in a recession?” - I like that one the best because everyone was so afraid to finally admit it, or at least, as a newspaper copy editor, it was treacherous ground to outright claim such a disaster...
